Silverado 1500 towing capacity
Chevrolet's trailering charts rate the 2020 Silverado 1500 at up to 13,400 lb and the 2021 at up to 13,300 lb, both with the 6.2L V8 in an RST with the Max Trailering Package and 20-inch wheels. The 5.3L V8 tows up to 11,600 lb (2020) or 11,500 lb (2021), and the 2.7L Turbo jumps from 6,800 lb in 2020 to 9,300 lb in 2021. Each version page lists the maximum for its engine.

EPA ratings for the 2020–2021 Silverado 1500 run from 17 mpg combined for the 4.3L V6 and 6.2L V8 to 21 mpg for a 2WD 2.7L Turbo, and the 2021 3.0L Duramax diesel reaches 27 mpg combined as a 2WD. Fuel tanks hold 24 gallons on standard and short boxes (22 on a 2WD diesel) and 28 gallons on the long box.
Silverado 1500 oil capacity
GM's owner's manuals list 8.0 quarts of dexos1 SAE 0W-20 for the 5.3L and 6.2L V8s and 6.0 quarts of SAE 5W-30 for the 2.7L Turbo and 4.3L V6, all with the filter. The 3.0L Duramax takes 7.0 quarts of dexosD SAE 0W-20.
